General information:
Trzebież is a fishing settlement in the community of Police, placed on western part of Szczecin Lagoon at the south west side of the entrance to Roztoka Odrzańska Estuary. The first written information about Trzebież (known this time as Zegennort) comes from 1320. In the 18th century the port, with wooden warves and a small shipyard, was established. The population of Trzebież is about 2,500. The fishing harbour is connected with Szczecin by rail, road and waterway communication is maintained. The harbour is easy to reach both for the fishing boats and for the cu-stomers. The services includes cargo shipping. There is yacht harbour and recreation passenger ferry during summer and communication by ferry with Germany. The length of all quays is about 2,000 m. There is a customs house and immigration office check point. In 1998, tourist traffic amounted 14,283 passengers.
In the port is the location of the Szczecin, Kamień Lagoons and Dąbie Lake Fishermen Association, which represents local fishermen.
The Coastal Rescue Station operates rescue vessel, equipped with terrain trucks and Lifeboats.
