Navigational aids:
Cypel Rzucewski Light (54°41.8'N, 18°28.5'E) (red framework tower,
white band, 8m in height) is exhibited at an elevation of 9m, on
a wooded point. Puck Church with its Prominent tower standing about
2.5 miles NW of Cypel Rzucewski, is visible from some distance. The
approach to the harbour of Puck leads from the inner end of Cypel
Glebinka. The minimum depth in the fairway is about 4m however local
knowledge is essential.
Quayage and berthing facilities
The harbour, a small rectangular shaped basin, has three wharves.
The east wharf is 67m in length, the west wharf 74m in length and
the south wharf 40m in length. The basin with a depth of 2.5 to 3.5m,
is approached by a short boyed channel marked by leading lights.

General information:
Puck is a town and fishing harbour located in Puck Bay, near the
beginning of Hel Peninsula. The town has a population about 11,800.
Puck is a Kashubian town, picturesquely situated on the high shore
of the Little Sea, as the local fishermen nicknamed Puck Bay. Puck
makes the summer rest quiet. The contact with hundreds of years
tradition, history and Kashubian culture, with valuable monuments
of architecture on the one hand and charm of the sea on the other
does not allow visitors to feel bored.
Mention of Puck reaches back to the beginning of the 13th century.
Its municipal charter was granted as early as in 1348. The relic
from the 14th century is Gothic parish church of great beauty. In
1454 Puck became a possession of Gdansk authorities. Puck is one
of the oldest Polish sea harbours. In the 16th and 17th centuries
it was a main Polish naval port.
After the second partition of Poland, Prussian troops moved into
the town. In the beginning of the 20th century a German aircraft
base for testing Zeppelins, existed here.
Presently the harbour does not play any significant role, due to its
location at the shallows of Puck Bay, which is connected with deep
water of Gdansk Bay. The harbour serves small fishing vessels and
yachts. Puck has a small auxiliary industry serving the fishing fleet.
There is some tradition in the production of propelling machinery for
cutters. There is no access to the port in winter. The average number
of ice-days during the year is 77.6. The town is connected to the
general railway system.
The historical buildings of Puck include the tenement houses from the
18th cen-tury situated all around the market square and the former
wooden hospital built in 1720-25 with the Town Museum in it.
