The port approaching inner channel is narrow and difficult, being suitable only for small
vessels up to 2m draught.

General information:
Nowe Warpno is a small fishing harbour and summer resort with a population of about 1000.
It is located on the border zone of Szczecin Lagoon. The east side en-trance includes a broad
inlet named Small Lagoon. There is old church of the 15th century and a town hall from the 17th
century. There are fishing quays and an indu-strial reloading area. The quay structure, with
total length of 500m is very lighted not for heavy loads. The harbour is connected with
a shallow (1.7 to 1.8m) fairway to the Szczecin Lagoon, other harbours of the Lagoon and
also with port of Szczecin. During a whole year there is a duty-free passenger ferry to
Altwarp on the German side of the inlet. In 1998, tourist traffic, mainly onboard vessels
of the German owner Adler-Schiffe, numbered 1.976,539 passengers. Daily traffic counted 5,400
passen-gers. Close to the ferry wharf there is a customs office, an immigration office, and
check point and a market place for tourists. Yachts call to the harbour in summer.
