General information:
Rewal is a seaside Baltic resort and fishing settlement situated in the middle point of the western Polish coast, between Świnoujście and Kołobrzeg. There are cliffs on the shore, about 20 metres high, fall steeply to the sea. There is no fishing pier. Fishing boats are landed on the beach harbour between outer breakwaters. Permanent population is about 600, but during summer season several thousand of holiday-makers come here. Together with Pobierowo from the west side and Pogorzelica from the east, Rewal forms the vacation centre of Gryfickie Coast. A quiet, peaceful, and relaxing centre, beautiful beach and camping area is available to guests.
The iodinerich air, seawater, wide beach and the fir and pine forests provide a wonderful environment for summer break.
For a long time Rewal was only a fishing village. In 1838 baths were established. Next, at the turn of the 19th century a resort was opened with hot sea water baths.
