The Norwegian Breakaway is said to offer its guests a multitude of special features and comfort
US American Norwegian Cruise Line, Miami, has taken delivery of the 146,600-gt cruise ship Norwegian Breakaway from Meyer Werft after a building period of 18 months.

The 324m-long and 39.7m-wide Norwegian Breakaway, with a draught of 8.3m, is the first of two Breakaway-class vessels the Papenburg-based shipyard is building for Norwegian Cruise Line. Its sister ship, the Norwegian Getaway, will be launched in Miami on February 1st 2014.
In 2,014 cabins, of which 1,508 are outside cabins including suites, the cruise vessel offers accommodation for 4,000 passengers. With a propulsion power of 35,000 kW, it reaches a speed of 21.5 knots. The DNV-classed Norwegian Breakaway has 18 decks, and offers 27 dining options and 770 theatre seats.
Following its recent handover and several further inaugural events, the Norwegian Breakaway will start its transatlantic cruise from Southampton to New York, where the naming ceremony will take place. On May 12th, it will head to Bermuda to start its seven-day cruises.
