Europort Romania 2012

Your exclusive ticket to Romanian shipbuilding

MAY 8 - 10, 2012 Constanta, Romania

Business opportunities for maritime suppliers
Over the last 10 years the Romanian maritime industry has undergone great development and modernisation. The time that Romania was merely producing hulls has long since passed. Nowadays, there are ten large shipyards in which European and Asia conglomerates have invested heavily. These yards are involved in new buildings, repair and maintenance of all types of ships, like bulk carriers, tankers, container vessels, multi purpose ships, inland navigation vessels, tugboats, freighters, patrol boats, LPG carriers, supply vessels, navy ships and dredgers. Some of the yards are also involved in the mega yacht sector.
The trend is that more and more vessels are completely built in Romania. This requires a lot of technological expertise and equipment of which the majority needs to be imported. There is a growing demand for suppliers of e.g. propulsion systems, computerisation, deck equipment, integrated bridge management, hydraulics, navigation and communication systems, dredger parts, electrical systems, ventilation and air conditioning, propellers, pumps, etcetera.
Romania offers huge opportunities as well for companies with experience in complex shipbuilding projects.

Exclusive set-up
Europort Romania is a compact maritime networking event with a maximum capacity of 40 exhibitors. This exclusive set-up with ready-to-use stands makes it even easier to establish good contacts. Stand out from the crowd and make sure you reserve your stand in time!

Meet the right people
Do you want to get in touch with the management of shipyards, sea and river shipowners, marine equipment trading companies, port managements, salvage companies, navy authorities, marine designers and supervisors? These are exactly the visitors of Europort Romania.
The good experience of visitors in the past and the intensive cooperation with the Romanian Shipbuilders Association ANCONAV is a guarantee for meeting the right people.

Strategic location
Constan?a is located at the crossroads of the trade routes linking Central and Eastern Europe with the Transcaucasia and Central Asia. It is the main Romanian port, ranks among the first ten European ports and belongs to the strongest growing ports in Europe in terms of TEU.
Constan?a has some major shipyards nearby and connects the Black Sea with it's sister port Rotterdam and the North Sea. The Rhine-Main-Danube Canal is of strategic importance for the future development of inland shipping to the rest of Europe. In short, Constan?a is the perfect location for organising this maritime networking event

Visit to Daewoo Mangalia shipyard
Daewoo-Mangalia Heavy Industries is one of the most competitive shipbuilding, conversion & repair shipyards in the Black Sea area due to its favourable geographical location, good facilities, advanced technology and large investment programme. Europort Romania offers exhibitors the opportunity to visit this shipyard and to meet the management. This gives you a solid basis to strengthen your relationships.
